Reports suggest that Taylor Swift has given a remarkable ₹82 lakh ($100,000) bonus to each of the truck drivers who worked on the full US leg of her Eras tour. The generous amount was handed over to the drivers by the singer herself, and according to Rolling Stones, the concert transportation company Shomotion, which has worked on three of Taylor Swift’s stadium tours, was the recipient of this unprecedented and life-changing gesture.

The bonus has been described as “life-changing” for the drivers, many of whom are not homeowners, and receiving such a lump sum has enabled them to consider putting a down payment on a home. The act of generosity by Taylor Swift has been seen as a game changer for these individuals.

In total, it’s reported that Taylor Swift has given out a staggering ₹41 crore ($55 million) as bonuses to various members of her touring crew, including dancers, sound technicians, riggers, and truck drivers.

The working environment on Taylor Swift’s tours has been praised for its “family atmosphere,” with the singer and her family members who work on the tour fostering inclusivity among all involved. This is evident from Taylor Swift’s inclusion of the drivers’ names in the credits of the documentary on her previous tour, Reputation, for Netflix.

The Eras tour, which commenced on 17th March 2023, will conclude its US leg at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles next week. Afterward, Taylor Swift will perform in Mexico and South America until the end of the year before resuming the tour with dates in Asia, Australia, and Europe throughout 2024. The tour is set to continue until 17th August 2024.

For the Fall of 2024, Taylor Swift has announced the addition of 15 new shows to her calendar for the second leg of “The Eras Tour” in North America, responding to the high demand from fans worldwide. The upcoming shows will include performances in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and six shows in Toronto’s Rogers Centre.
